Jan Kevin Myers has expertise in handling difficult trials to verdict and specializes in those cases involving high jury verdict exposure, or where the client is the primary target or where the venue of trial is dangerous, or the result may have critical business implications for the client. He has tried many New York State Labor Law cases where liability is absolute against the client and require not only defense of the plaintiff's claims of serious injuries, but also enforcement of the client's rights to indemnification from responsible parties.
Mr. Myers provides leadership in the highest standards of professional ethics and honest and informed representation of clients. He served for twelve years as a member of the Committee on Professional Discipline of the New York State Bar Association and was a member of a Select Subcommittee specially authorized by the presiding justices of all of the appellate departments in the State to examine and report to the State Bar on the standards of attorney discipline.
